Useful design feedback connects an observation to a visitor’s task. Explain what seems unclear, which audience it affects and what they need to accomplish. This gives the designer room to solve the underlying issue instead of guessing at the reason for a requested colour or layout change.

A practical approach

Collect stakeholder feedback before sending it to the delivery team. Contradictory instructions are easier to resolve internally than after several revisions. Label mandatory corrections separately from preferences and questions, then identify who makes the final decision.

Your checklist

  • Review the page with its intended content and device size.
  • Describe problems using specific locations and examples.
  • Send one consolidated list with agreed priorities.

For example

Instead of make the button bigger, explain that reviewers missed the enquiry action after reading the service description. The solution may involve placement, wording or contrast as well as size.
